About Head Cook

HeadCook for ALS was created in honor of Cathy Fitzgerald, the original Head Cook and the inspiration behind our mission. Cathy passed away on March 11, 2025, after living courageously with ALS for thirteen years. Cathy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved to care for others.  To learn more about Cathy's story, please click here.  HeadCook is a 501c3 non-profit that raises funds and then directs these resources to support ALS research, patient care, and policy advocacy.
